Terranea

Tracy Lonsdale

Just spent last Sunday night at Terranea – even though the property has been open for 5 years it has taken me this long to finally get around to checking it out myself.I have had several clients stay recently and they all love it so I booked in for Sunday over President’s weekend and had a little spa retreat.

I wasn’t sure I would like the hotel since it is so big but I was so pleasantly surprised because they have over 102 Acres and it’s so well designed plenty of seating areas, hiking trails, 9 hole golf course, Ocean Front Spa, 3 pools, fantastic gym, eight restaurants, bars, cafes lounges – there are so many options that I can see why so many people love this resort.  The overall vibe is very serene, could be because I spent most of my time at the spa pool in a cabana with Pepe (my dog).  The resort is very pet friendly!  The spa itself is very nice and the massage was perfect.

My favorite accomodations are the Bungalows – 1 and 2 bedrooms with indoor and outdoor fireplaces/fire pits, washer & dryer, full kitchen you can easily move in for a week and never leave.  The food was great at the Spa Café and the little breakfast place.  I ordered room service for dinner was also pretty good.

When you think about the room rate at Montage Laguna approx. $750 you can have a 1 bedroom bungalow at Terranea or just get a room at approx.. $300 – you can't go wrong!
