Chable Resort & Spa

Tracy Lonsdale

CHABLE is located 25 minutes from the Merida Airport in the Yucatan Peninsula.

This is the most exciting new hotel & spa opening that I can remember in a long time.  There are 40 Castias all with their own pool and the most stunning Royal and Presidential Villas I have ever seen.  The property has over 300 Acres and the Hacienda itself is spread out over 40 Acres.  This is the perfect honeymoon retreat and is also perfect for a buyout for a wedding or a big party to celebrate a birthday or Anniversary.\

The Spa is the heart of the Chable Resort Experience – they use traditional Mayan Culture incorporated into the treatments – I had a combo of Tree of Life & Sea and Sky – it was the most spiritual experience I have ever had – I highly recommend you try this!

There is a beautiful tree to meditate under in the morning, full gym including spin classes and full time trainer.  Daily yoga on a platform at the side of the Cenote (a natural lake resulting from the collapse of limestone bedrock that exposes groundwater underneath).  The spa is built around the Centone and all the treatment rooms have an amazing view.

The food at Chable is Michelin Star FABULOUS – in the high end restaurant IXI’IM – the level of service and quality of ingredients will blow you away – they grow all the herbs and vegetables in their own gardens on the grounds.   There is a local Mayan lady who will come in a couple of times a week to prepare Mayan recipes in the vintage Mayan kitchen in the original Hacienda.  One of the best meals was the Duck cooked for 9 hours in the ground overnight – the morning we left we had the best Duck Tacos I have ever had!

There are amazing signature cocktails – the main restaurant has over 3500 bottles of rare Tequila – the long porch of the main Hacienda is the best place for your afternoon cocktail the view of the grounds is not to be believed.  There is a Cigar Lounge, Wine tasting room, local products from the town are offered in their own little shops at the main entrance to the hotel.  There is something for everyone.

The rates start at $1200 per night including transfers and breakfast for two – there are some opening specials so contact me for a nice discount.
